It is widely used in fields such as robot joints, aerospace, precision machine tools, semiconductor equipment, etc. due to its high precision, large reduction ratio, small size, zero backlash, and high torque capacity.

1) Importance

The components with multiple failures need to be stretched by a cam to become elliptical. During operation, the flexible bearing needs to continuously deform and be soft enough (to be stretched) and hard enough (to not be worn by the ball and not break). The bearing raceway requires that the surface be hard and the deep layers inside be soft after quenching, followed by material and heat treatment. This is where the know-how is tested.

2) Supplier

Hamonaco initially purchased from Nachi Fujitsu with a sole supply agreement, but it is said that Nachi Fujitsu began supplying to Xinbao later on, and Hamonaco developed a second supply.
At the beginning, most mainland companies went to Taiwan for procurement. After the sales gradually increased in the past few years, the top companies began to make their own products, such as lead drives and laifuals. Recently, companies that have joined the humanoid robot industry can also make their own products.

3) Batch accidents that occurred among top suppliers in 2018

In 2018, there were large orders in the industry, and some companies increased production significantly in order to grab orders. Both Xinbao and mainland leaders have encountered quality control problems.

Materials&Heat Treatment
To test the know-how, Hamernaco will package the furnace used by his own company, add ingredients himself, with similar grades but trace components, and also make the heat treatment himself. Most companies adopt this model once they have grown in size.

We need to understand one point Oil lubrication has a higher rotational speed than grease lubrication, so it can match motors with higher rotational speeds.
But currently, only Hamonaco provides oil lubricated harmonic reducers, but shipments are also rare. This tests the level of oil seals (do you think Hamonaco only provides gear shapes? In fact, the company has more than 100 non gear shape related ones).
The color of oils and fats from different companies is different, and this has also gone through the process of supplier conversion. You can tell which company's product it is by looking at the color.
