1、 Common fault phenomena and solutions

Abnormal noise and vibration

Reason: Bearing damage, gear wear, foreign objects getting stuck, high input speed, or incorrect installation.

solve:

Replace damaged bearings or gears (need to be sent to a professional factory for repair)

Clean up internal foreign objects and check for oil contamination.

Reduce the input speed or choose a helical gear design gearbox (with lower noise than straight teeth).

Re calibrate the installation alignment and tighten the anchor bolts.

Abnormal temperature rise

Reason: Overload operation, frequent start stop, poor lubrication (insufficient oil/aging), abnormal voltage or poor heat dissipation.

solve:

Adjust the load to the rated range and reduce the number of start stop cycles.

Replace or supplement qualified lubricating oil (recommended high viscosity, anti coagulation type).

Adjust the oil level to the centerline of the oil gauge to avoid excess.

Install a ventilation valve or replace it with an exhaust type ventilation plug to balance the pressure difference inside and outside the box.

Output shaft failure (no rotation/broken shaft)

reason:

Not turning: axis key connection failure, internal planetary carrier stuck.

Broken shaft: The output end load bending moment is too large, the selection is too small, or the concentricity deviation.

solve:

Check and lock the connection ring between the motor shaft and the input end of the reducer.

Replace the gearbox with a larger specification (such as the output shaft with tapered roller bearing model).

Re calibrate the concentricity of the motor and reducer (error ≤ 0.05mm).

Decreased accuracy and insufficient torque

Reason: Gear pitting wear, increased mesh clearance, lubrication failure 1.

solve:

Replace the worn gear and adjust the clearance to within the design tolerance.

Choose high-precision gears (such as APEX brand, back clearance ≤ 3 arc minutes).

Avoid overloading operation and regularly replace anti-wear additives and lubricating oil

Monthly inspection of fastener torque, seal condition, and vibration values.

Install temperature/vibration sensors to achieve early fault warning (such as abnormal spectrum indicating bearing damage).

Design optimization:

Choose tapered roller bearings instead of deep groove ball bearings to improve axial load-bearing capacity.

Install anti loosening iron hoops on the coupling to prevent screw plugs from falling off.
