The design and manufacturing of dust explosion-proof motors strictly follow the prescribed conditions. Its casing has high sealing performance, which can effectively prevent dust from entering the motor casing. Even if a small amount of dust enters, it will not hinder the safe operation of the motor.

At the same time, the accumulation of internal dust is not prone to ignition hazards, and it will not cause explosive dust mixtures to explode when used. This characteristic enables dust explosion-proof motors to operate stably and safely in dust intensive places such as mines, flour mills, chemical plants, etc.
The sealing structure characteristics are also worth mentioning. Sealed design achieves dust-proof effect by adding sealing gaskets, which are made of asbestos board, rubber board or other high-quality materials, ensuring durability and adapting to the load conditions and working life temperature requirements of electrical equipment.
Especially the sealing between the machine base and the end cover requires higher sealing requirements due to the circumference of the joint surface. In order to achieve good sealing performance, the sealing gasket needs to have a certain degree of elasticity, and a positioning structure is also needed to ensure the stability of the bearing distance.
In terms of motor selection, the enclosures of dust explosion-proof motors are divided into two categories based on their ability to limit dust: dust tight enclosures (marked as DT, with an enclosure protection level of IP6X) and dust-proof enclosures (marked as DP, with an enclosure protection level of IP5X), providing diverse choices for different industrial needs.
Working principle
Sealing design 2: By adding sealing gaskets and other methods, dust can be reduced or prevented from entering the casing, and even if it does, the amount of dust entering will not pose a risk of ignition.
Temperature control 2: Limit the high surface temperature of the casing to the specified temperature range to avoid igniting dust due to overheating of the motor surface.
Structural feature 1
Stator: High quality electrical silicon steel sheets treated with oxidation are used, and the electromagnetic wires and insulation are made of polyester imine enameled wires and high-quality composite insulation. The stator core with windings is vacuum high-voltage impregnated with paint, and the insulation material is F-class insulation, but the temperature rise limit is assessed according to B-class, with excellent electrical, mechanical, moisture-proof, and thermal stability.
Rotor: The cast aluminum rotor is fixed on the shaft using a hot sleeve process, and after dynamic balance verification, it runs smoothly with low vibration and noise.
Bearings and bearing chambers: The small machine base motor adopts double-sided sealed bearings, and waveform spring plates are installed in the bearing chamber of the shaft extension end face to prevent axial movement; The large base motor adopts an open type bearing, and the bearing part has oil injection and discharge devices, which can be used to add lubricating grease without stopping the machine.
Fan and hood: The entire series of fans and shafts use key matching for reliable operation. The hood is made of thin steel plate structure, which provides a large ventilation area while preventing a certain size of foreign objects from entering, making the air path smooth and the appearance beautiful.
