Inspection before installation of variable frequency motor
(1) Before using the variable frequency motor, open the box and check the contents and precautions
Before unboxing the variable frequency motor, the packaging should be checked for integrity and moisture. After opening the protective cover, the dust on the motor should be carefully removed. The motor should be carefully inspected for deformation or damage during transportation, loose or detached fasteners, flexible rotor rotation, and compliance with nameplate data. The resistance should be measured with a megohmmeter, and the insulation resistance should not be less than 3M Ω. Otherwise, the winding should be dried.

(2) Installation of variable frequency motor
1. Variable frequency motors that have been transported over long distances or left unused for a long time must measure the insulation resistance between the stator winding and the casing before use, which should not be less than 3M Ω. Otherwise, the motor must be dried until the insulation resistance reaches the specified value. And it must comply with the requirements specified in the motor manual.
2. Attention should be paid to the installation of variable frequency motors
The centerline of the motor shaft must be consistent with the centerline of the ventilation fan cylinder ring, otherwise friction between the ventilation fan blades and the cylinder ring can cause quality accidents such as blade fracture, bearing damage, and shaft fracture. Special attention should be paid to protecting the foot plane of the motor, and there should be no bumps on the foot plane.
3. Check the lubrication status of the bearings of the variable frequency motor
If the original lubricating grease has deteriorated, dried up, or become dirty, the bearings must be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene before adding clean lubricating grease.
4. Check if the fastening bolts of the variable frequency motor are securely fastened, and if the casing is reliably grounded or zeroed.
5. Check whether the protection device of the variable frequency motor meets the requirements and whether the installation is reliable.
6. Check whether the wiring of the frequency converter and frequency conversion motor equipment is correct, and whether the starting device is flexible. Whether the metal casing of the starting device is reliably grounded or zeroed.
7. Check if the three-phase power supply voltage is normal, if the voltage is too high or too low, or if the three-phase voltage is balanced.
